Awarded Best Masterplan and Best Developer Website at the International Property Awards
Monday, 26 October 2026; Waterfall City continues to gain recognition as one of South Africa’s leading property developments, with Waterfall City Management Company (WCMC) awarded the coveted Best Masterplan South Africa 2026-2027 title at the International Property Awards – Africa Chapter. In addition, Waterfall City also won the Best Developer Website South Africa 2026-2027 awardfor www.waterfallcity.co.za, accredited to both WCMC and Attacq, the strategic development partner of Waterfall City.
Presented at The Royal Lancaster London hotel during an awards ceremony held on 22 October 2026, the Best Masterplan South Africa win marks the third consecutive yearthat Waterfall City has claimed this prestigious title, which recognises the development’s pioneering urban design and integrated approach to creating a smart, sustainable and people-focused city. This accolade also puts Waterfall City in the running for the Best Masterplan Africa award, which the development has won for two consecutive years. The Best Developer Website South Africa recognition, achieved now for a third time, emphasises the unique user experience of exploring the world-class Waterfall City precinct virtually, showcasing the innovation and creative brilliance behind the website design. It is worth noting that Waterfall City went on to win the Best International Developer Website 2023-2024 award and is aiming for top honours again this awards season.
The International Property Awards are the largest, most prestigious and widely recognised property awards programme globally. Now in their 33rd year, the awards cover over 50 different residential and commercial categories, are judged by an independent panel of over 100 industry experts, and chaired by House of Lords members. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability and regional heats are staged for Africa, Arabia, Europe, Canada, Central & South America, the Caribbean, the USA, the UK and Asia Pacific.
The highest scoring, five-star regional winners from each category in Africa will automatically be put forward for re-judging against the five-star winners in the other regions of the world. Following this re-assessment, the 2026/2027 International winners in each category will be identified as the ‘World’s Best’. These winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony planned for February next year.
