Meet the Chef – Itumeleng Khasoane

Being the newest restaurant in our hood, this month we take the opportunity to introduce you to Itumeleng Khasoane (aka Itu), Executive Chef and General Manager of MATH. Find out what inspires Itu’s cooking style, her favourite dish to prepare on the MATH menu and which celebrity she would love to cook for.

Best known for its succulent seafood, The Codfather’s menu will happily satisfy carnivores and vegetarians, too. In this edition of our Meet the Chef series, we introduce you to Albert Saidi, the talented chef at The Codfather in the Polofields Crossing shopping centre. Albert serves world-class, feel-good cuisine you don’t want to miss.

Gigi is a much anticipated and exciting new addition to the restaurant scene in Waterfall City. Here, we introduce you to its co-owner and head chef, the multi-award-winning and talented Moses Moloi. With several accolades under his belt, Moses has great plans for Gigi and looks forward to welcoming patrons for some gastronomic delights that will leave them wanting more.

This month, we introduce you to the multi-talented Alicea Malan, entrepreneur, chef, director, and co-owner of Lucky Bread Company, which, lucky for us, has a branch right here in Mall of Africa! A Prue Leith College graduate, Alicea’s favorite pastry to make is the Lucky Bread Cruffin. Yum!

This month, we introduce you to Keegan Maistry, Executive Chef at the Courtyard Hotel, Waterfall City. Keegan specialises in French contemporary and fusion-inspired dishes and has cooked for the Prince and Princess of Monaco.

Meet the Chef – Liezl Catsavis

This month, we introduce you to Liezl Catsavis, the award-winning Executive Chef at the Riboville Boutique Hotel and Restaurant. Liezl is trained in classic Italian cuisine, but describes her cooking style as rustic fusion; bringing sexy back to old forgotten
dishes and ingredients.
